Diversity

DIVERSITY, it was inspired by the diverse culture of India. Movement, flow, Sheerness. I used an abstract painting of a peacock’s train to symbolise Femininity, divinity, strength, and confidence. As peacock is a symbol of diversity with its unique colours and nature.

Furthermore, I used Tulle fabric for its sheerness. With the base of my collection being skin-like tulle and then on top with pleated printed fabric. Inspired from Yves Klein’s all blue structure, the blue pigment all over inspired the idea of having blue pleats wrapped around the bodice. It highlights the diversity of the blue pigment as such. It further developed to boning structures being hidden behind the pleats that created a illusion of “Something that’s not visible, does not mean, it does not exist”.
